come racing with a smart phone and stand next to them broadcasting exchange prices imo.

The bookies are only there to shorten up the S.P.

By:
possibly wee eck, but, with 20 pitches available in tatts, and none zero zilch turn up, 20 pitches available on rails and 3/4 turn up, I wonder why?

By:
BARRY, Very few punters, firms have a bet every pancake day, expences far too high,
is that not enough.? |
By:
All the shrewdie's are on here Baz, hth .
By:
wee eck spot on, halcyon perhaps ,but, if your that shrewd you have to pay premium charge, mark davies famously said 95% of betfair punters are losers

By:
no punter pays premium charge.
By:
wee eck good point, most on-course bookies AW especially need plenty of % protection against the numerous plots, too many to mention recently, where are the stewards?
By:
Barry, what Davies actually said was 85% of all customers are losers and out of the
winners only 2% win more than £15000 per year, I am a winner but in the 11+ years I have been on here I cannot average £15000 per year in profits. |
By:
punters dont pay premium charge, why was it invented then?
By:
fast picture thieves, botboys and traders barry,no punter pays PC
By:
barry, punters do pay it. I do believe that P.C. is an integral and
important part of this exchange's income. |
By:
beef burger there on boxing day £6 what is the mark up on that please ?
By:
mmmmalushka, with that sentiment I totally agree.
By:
i don't understand ..why was it 6/4..are these layers on suicide watch
By:
dont know if you were on here at the time of the race adge but there was a big late drift on it......if i remember correctly
By:
it's just as well that hills, ladbrokes and corals turn up to bet as no other rails firms do and all twenty tatts pitches are empty.
i just wonder why these three bother but perhaps you can just work that one out yourselves |
By:
i don't understand ..why was it 6/4..are these layers on suicide watch
do you say the same thing when bookies follow the price on here and it is above what it should be ? or when the bookies push the price out because someone is manipulating the betfair market ? ![]() |
By:
Bookmakers died about the turn of the millennium. zero skill in it anymore, If you don't like to bet, just refuse the bet, and reminisce about the good old days, and the various strokes they pulled.
By:
I love going racing, if the odds are a bit short just put a bit more on simples.
By:
adge - as you know we bet almost everywhere. I'm pretty sure that ladbrokes have cut back on their attendance and as for corals, they virtually threw the towel in years ago
so, very often you can't point the finger at the off-course firms with any conviction |
By:
intheknow , you should have worked out that i'm winding them up.
actually surprised the names weren't blanked out |
By:
ADGE - UNFORTUNATELY SOME OF THE POSTERS ON HERE BELIEVE THAT IF BOOKMAKERS DONT BET TO 100%, THEY ARE BEING RIPPED OFF !!!!
By:
adge ... and there is me thinking bookmakers always tell the truth
