think best boy barney's form is better myself.

At the odds I think there are many more place bets that are far better value so tend to leave the "odds on win market" well alone.
Wish you well in what you decide. |

been looking at all the favs at taunton today, think several can get turned over today
was looking at Jupiter Rex who won on desperate going where the whole field raced wide the whole way coz basically the track was water logged (ran 30th December, doubt the meeting would have gone ahead if it was not at Xmas) . On it's previous start was beaten 27 lengths off 7lb lower than today... 1.76 looks plenty short under totally different conditions today prolly going to lay them all |

Moondan..........I wouldn't dream of backing him at that price, way too many question marks for that price.(I laid him at 1.68-1.7.)
I am not sure the step up in trip will suit either,as he has seemed to travel well(traded at 3.0 against Puffin Billy and 1.56 in his bumper debut at Aintree) in his races but not found as much as anticipated. |

After fifty years at this game I have never wavered from the view that this game is 90% luck and not just our own run should be taken into account but also the jockeys and stables. Ruby's luck could be better a present and for that fact alone I would not back him. Having said that he will probably scoot up. Its a funny old game. |

PF said before Newbury that it would be much better over further so the step up in trip is a positive, neither a backer or a layer hear.

nicholls horse obviously has a wind problem if you watch the way it travels and then doesnt go on in its race and today the tongue tie is on if it gets beat he will be off for a wind op.so has to be a race to leave

I am going out on a limb here. My new horse racing calculator wot I got as a New Year present has worked out that Sound Investment is probably not a Sound Investment. It actually gives a stay the trip rating as 2 on a scale of 1-10! Now of course it could be wrong!

That's what happens when one uses a calculator without reading the instructions. Will read the instructions in time for 1.25 Kempton. |
