us lot here can holler all we like - but we are powerless, have no voice : but what does surprise me is if the major high st firms are getting cleaned out. They DO have power, and would surely take steps to avoid this happening to them...

yes your right of course - prob doesn't cost the bookies fortunes this sort of thing. Just an occasional 'necessary evil' they are prepared to suffer to preserve the bigger, and very much more profitable, picture.
