Very decent trainer but got fecked over by some pollen problem I remember near his stables which affected the horses performance

I think he went a really long time with no winners when he was near the top of his game until he found the cause

Yellow Colours with the 3 purple spots , I remember a handicapper we "were told" would win and it shaat up, he knew the time o day

Accused the local farmer of spraying illegally on rape seed I think - all the horses went down.
Took years to build back up and then got an infected batch of horse feed that wiped him out again.

I backed en attendant in the bunbury cup with lester on board at 14s. Got really lucky as i think it was daryl holland that made a pigs ear of the ride on belfry green.

My Dad was mates with Con Horgan, Western Dancer was probably his best known horse. Landed a right touch winning the Ebor with Paul Cook on board, also won the Chester Cup.

Surely that was Ben Hanbury.and it won the Bunbury 2 years running with Piggott up.

Con knew his stuff, having learned the ropes under the tutelage of legendary Capt Ryan Price at Findon. He also was adept in cultivating a few wealthy middle-east types around London's West End gambling clubs. Good bloke on the whole.
