in racereading mugs and ruk goons going on about the mistake down the back, bad jump but kept going forward but the 2 jumps at the final 2 were far more serious blunders, the one at the 2nd last almost brought him to a standstill

FFS robbie fowler ruby etc are not going to ride the horse. That's why he wasn't evens today. When are you and your ilk going to grasp this fact.
nicky27 Spot on.mate. I thought he was beat after the last. He did really well to get him back on an even keel and running.

I was on, not aftertiming as I put Long Run as the winner last night and was my nap of the day. If he got Long Run beat today the forum would have gone into meltdown about SWC the likes of which have never been seen before. The horse won despite the the pilot. If it was my horse I'd let him put the saddle on but he wouldn't be sitting on it that's for sure.

The jockey ability is factored into the price especially in a market as strong as a King George , if you're price sensitive & one of these tedious punters who bang on about wanting Walsh or Geraghty to ride the horse then you'd be looking at nearer 11/10 rather than the 15/8 SP today.
You get what you pay for in this life

Acey, he would have ended up in the stocks at Hampton Court Palace being bombarded with rotten fruit from the Betfair masssif. He won and well done, it was a very long final furlong though, I've got enough grey hairs as it is.

Funny enough# I watched the race on C4 live where they lauded SWC for a great ride etc.. Then watched RTE2 off Sky+ later on where Ted Walsh slated the jockey saying his inability to switch whip hand is pitiful and the horse was only dossing while waiting for a left hander. I agree with the latter FWIW

Waley Cohen gets far too much stick. There's no denying that Long Run would be better with Geraghty on his back, but we all know the crack before we place our bets, and I think he does a bloody good job for an amateur. Its his dad's horse and, if he wants to stick with Sam, fair play to him.

they dont do it for the money but for the enjoyment of the sport. he's an amateur jockey, has never confessed to be anything else. what you see is what you get, his father is lucky enough to be able to fund his sons passion to a high level. good luck to them, days like today are what its all about for the Waley Cohens.

i backed him,bad ride but he is an amateur, that was factored into the price, what do we expect, but all worked out well in the end,a terrible King George in terms of quality, but a great one in terms of excitement.
