Not sure there was a Champion Hurdler in that field, but if there was it was Darlan.

Seemed to take Henderson by suprise as well. Left them for dead at the end of that race even coming wide round the bend in bad conditions.

just looking at the replay , AP never even went for him either.

I'd back Darlan to beat anything over 2m anywhere apart from Cheltenham. For me even though he finished 2nd at the festival he's been below par both his runs there.

Race was a non-event, they went a joke pace. God knows why Dennis O'Regan didn't make the running.

Thought the race fell apart....that said Darlan did well.

I was just wondering about that FB - could he have improved ? AP gave a 'telling' interview for me that there could be a lot more to come ? Sounded like he wasnt fully tuned up for this.

Don't think the race fell apart as such, he just had far too much speed for them in a race run at a crawl.
Would he beat an onsong Hurricane Fly? I am not sure, but he is definitely a major contender for top honours.

agree there, bb, i didnt think that ground would be for him today tbh.
