"Don't expect a horse to do what it has not done before" is a nice little Racing sound byte that has a lot of truth in it and is similar to the other old chestnut "Back previous Gr 1 winners in Gr 1 races". Long Run has done it before and even when he was second to Kauto Star he well beat the rest. The ground wont hold any fears and may even be a positive. His lifetime form figures - 21211113/1211113/311/2213-2 - are metronomically accurate, 1.52 a place looks a steal and on all known form the others have to improve 8lb+.
So 3.25 to me seems fair enough, but even better he may well drift to 3.9 or so as the money comes for Riverside Theatre, who again looks pretty good place value.

If it gets around, it is the best 1.5 shot you'll ever see. However, it always seems to drag its hind legs through the fence and looks liable for a tumble. For that reason, it's certainly no mortgage job, although I think 1.5 to get around looks value!

Its for people that have got a big tank & like that sort of bet i.e.they can fire at another 1/2 shot to get it back....the likes of myself I could loose my bank & for that reason Im out....G.L. Players

Figure of speech Felt.

To be honest his non to fluent jumping does not worry me. The horse obviously has a will and technique to stay upright.

That could be the most stupid post EVER on here

IF he gets round he is a 1/33 shot and not even close to the "BEST" 1.2 shot you will ever see ffs

Just to help you out the "jumping round" bit is factored into the 1/2 Wink

Way too much Christmas sherry imho

I'm surprised mange only has a bank of £2. I had him down as a big £5 player.

Double it up with Countrywide Flame at 1/3 and you have a cracking evens double imo.

50% return seems staggering value . He mistimes some fences but never looks like falling , he has a magnificent engine  , many of the others will be legless by the straight . He was miles clear of third place last year .
Can't for the life of me understand why anyone would lay this bet.

Well done Angel, if you hadn`t posted I wouldn`t have got involved except for the win market. Had a lump, had a few anxious moments but job done.
