I'm just on at low stakes - who you got down as your winners?
Report FELTFAIR December 24, 2012 10:01 PM GMT
Dynaste, Long Run and Raya Star(e-w).

Dynaste is a class horse no doubt, I'd just be worried backing him at such short price on ground this soft back up to 3mile. I am thinking in a slog he could just get outstayed by something hence my taking a chance of Poungach

Poungach is so overpriced.

1.25 - Valmari
2.00 - Poungach
2.35 - Dodging Bullets
3.10 - Kauto Stone

Fancy it being a big day for Ruby and Nicholls. Think his horses are far better this year than last. He felt something was wrong with the yard last season and he appears to be being proved right. Dodging Bullets looks a big price for a race fit horse that has won both races this season and finished close behind the market leader in the Triumph. Kauto Stone just because he should be the only horse in the race that will actually prefer the cut in the ground.

not sure i agree with your statment that only will  kauto stone  will like soft ground i have four in race like it soft, but i do agree he could be the value bet in the race, long run will like it soft, so will the top one and also  the bottom one, buy my take is i think kauto for a place is better value than long run a win.and that is not saying long run wont win it either, but with these four liking ground i think rest can forget it.

Kauto Stone has to improve plenty on my figures, in fact he is yet to show form within 20lbs of what's required to win a KG. That race last time is very poor indeed - about 155 on my figures. He might well improve but I wouldn't be betting on it. Never went a yard when well beaten behind Riverside Theatre so has a lot to do

one of the front 3 in the market going to win this race at least 9 times from ten imo

i agree with every thing your saying judo, in fact if go by form dont need look at the race any more than a second as easily long run would win, if kauto star was still about they would be calling it a two horse betwen the pair now hes gone why should long run not be a good thing. but the wet wet ground makes it diff race all together and i think if kauto stone was wrong last year,  and the way it won first time out would have givin it a second in the henessey on form at least with no improvment, i think with improvent and the ground looks a very dangerous player on boxing day.

I expect him to get left behind when they put the pace into the race turning for home
