Zarkandar beat Grandouet in the Triumph, was n't right all last season (allegedly), will be well served by stamina test on New Course, won't mind the ground, has an impressive reappearance behind him.

Grandouet might still be the better horse but I'll be moderately surprised if he is today - even Henderson saying if he does n't win, does n't mean he's not a Champion Hurdle horse.

I agree with last post, year off on heavy ground today is a watch race but have backed at 10/1 for champion hurdle in march if he runs well he will shorten which is more my mentality here

When I saw the entries I thought Zarkander would win this but being by Azamour there has to be a doubt about him on this ground. I think of the big 3 Rock On Ruby might be best equiped to handle such testing ground.

Grandouet only one win from 4 at Cheltenham does not bode well for a champion hurdle

I don't want to p*** on your parade gulliver, but, remember one of the reasons you got the price was that there are 3 months to go to the festival. Anything can happen, god forbid injury, or trainer decides to go for another race at Cheltenham. I can recall being in a similiar situation many years ago, but didn't get a run for my money, that's why I don't do ante-post now.
