Cann't see it being on.Last night probably beat us,frost wasn't forecast to get as far east.8am inspection means there'll be a few having to put their foots down to get there for pitch up if it is on.

All bends moved to provide as much fresh ground as possible.
The 3m bend and bend into straight have been divided to ensure
best ground possible for hurdlers.
All hurdle sites have been moved. All bar one have been moved
inside to allow fresh ground not raced on since March.

Weather
3.5mm of rain/sleet overnight.
Temps dropped only briefly below freezing and at present are
around +2/3c. Expecting a dip around daylight.
On this basis we are optimistic that racing will go ahead but
await the 8am inspection to see how things progress.
Forecast:
Odd shower down coast moving out to see later. Dry, suuny spells
and temps up to a max of +3 maybe 4c during day.
Monitoring continues.

Predicting anything with Newcastle (whether it be racing or football) is a difficult task. Looks like Newcastle & Sunderland will be embroiled in a relegation fight.

Be very surprised if this does not go ahead
