I never said it was good,I only responded to the OP's post.

Seen a lot worse. I won't trot out the 'pocket talking' standard reply (oops, or did I?) but the horse doesn't want to win.
|
|
By:
the horse is a complete rogue
however even if you're trying to kid it home, you don't put it up the arse of the one in front a furlong out then expect to be able to switch and quicken up past it in a 1m 4f class 6 |
|
By:
i dont care if the horse doesnt want to win.............the jockeys job when hes a length down is to TRY AND WIN............otherwise get ANOTHER F U C K I N JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOB
|
|
By:
its utterly irrelevant for the integrity of the game....in any other jurisdiction we wouldn't be seeing him for a long time...the horse is a dog but he didn't try to bloody win!!!!!!
|
|
By:
you can sit upsides the horse until even the line
|
|
By:
Lets not beat about the bush. The winner is backed from 10-1 to 7 -2.The second could have won and should have won.Never mind about previous form if that was always right we would be rich.Robert Winston as sailed close to wind before.I back nothing in the race but what was clear winston is a professional jockey he knows when to challenge and this was absymal horse never had time to win.BHA need to take action irrespective of betting market

maybe it just wanted to sniff the other horses @rse

challanger du luc go google ffs even AP could not persuade that one to stick its heid in front

By:
was attrocious judgement
yes the horse is a monkey but you he could have jogged alongside the other animal and only had to push it for a few strides near the line would have won. |

mad
i promise i had no vested interest we all know the horse is hard to win with but it was never given a chance i'm sure those that backed it would rather it was upsides 50 yards out than what SDS did. |

Interesting race.
Winner drifted from 9/4 an hour before the race out to 9/2 ( Backed ,presumably for pennies with £3.65 from 14/1 > 7/1 last night. Was entered a few weeks ago and backed from 25/1 > 4/1 before being scratched. White Deer is a rogue. Winston's tactics got it as close to the front as could be. |
|
By:
it hasn't got an aversion to being in front
it doesn't dig deep i don't think it would have had to be ridden more than a few strides in that race if allowed to get closer have a look at tudhopes ride on it when it won. thats the first race this character has been put into properly for ages and it wasn't given the chance to shirk ![]() |

Winston imo gave the horse everychance, the horse had to be ridden to win on the line and did not. It is not a jockeys fault that a horse is a rougue. |

for me Winston tried to be too clever on a tricky horse. It looked awful, if i'd back it i'd be fuming but as for a bent ride ,not for me. If you want to get one beat in an 11 runner 1.5mile handicap on a hold-up horse it's quite simple to get stuck behind rivals and get the horse beaten many times in the race. If you really needed your horse to be beaten to pull him out even 50 yards from the line where the leader could suddenly stop would be pretty stupid.

I just looked at the race again on at ATR. Horrible ride. Jockey did not make an effort at all. I looked at other races from same horse and never ridden like that before. (I suppose its hard for a ride like thayt)
Anyone with a brain can see what he was up too. BTW I backed the winner |

By:
i'm not wet behind the ears mate
i have plenty of experience with these types this horse is so well handicapped these days it is going to pull itself into races like that. i get the fact it doesn't find but when a horse travels so well that the jockey is putting it up the arris of the leader, it surely is better to let it roll a bit earlier and then only have to push it for a few strides near the post. if it gets beat then fair enough but don't give it an impossible task. SDS misjudged the effort imo, it happens but he has to take some responsibility. |
|
By:
if you look at its recent races its been ridden from far back and only got into the places late after being pushed a fair way out.
tonights race was a golden opportunity missed as it actually pulled him there easily |

, the horse was never given an earthly of winning that race, purely down to the rider in the home straight.
It was a joke & the horse was happily in front 20yds after the line & going away from the winner on the pull up, hardly the sign of something that wont go to the front.....I would love to hear the jockey's explanation for that rancid performance. Probably only so much they can say on the telly, but dont insult people's intelligence by apologising for rides like that...... |
|
By:
It was a jock's race!Winston just happened to be unlucky on the one that was to near!!

The ride on the fav was suspect too, Lee forced it so that it wouldnt have anything left late on
