Dear bcm2,
I have been advised by a community member to create a new thread and ask for your help.
I had placed few bets on Dundalk 8:30 (pre-race) and afterwards, when the race was sent to Stewart Enquiries I backed First Friday to win the race.
I understand that Betfair's terms & conditions states that the official results are the ones to determine a winning or losing bet.
I checked the official results on sportinglife website and after the Stewards Inquiry & Weighed In they were published after 30minutes as follow:
1. First Friday
2nd nse Balmont Flyer.
I took a screenshot when it was announced. After 2minutes or so the result was reversed and Balmont Flyer was announced as the winner.
Few questions that I would like to ask are:
A) Is there anything that can be done from Betfair as a goodwill so I could potentially get my money back?
B) If not, what are the procedures about complaining to either Stewards or Race-horsing authorities?
Your help and/or advice is much appreciated.

Sometimes some ppl make me laugh, as they haven't got anything better to do but post sarcastic comments and...the funny part of it... they think that they are funny... Trust me you aren't..it is just ridiculous.
Firstly place yourselves into my position.
Secondly watch the race again and again and again. (sportinglife got it there)
Thirdly tell me who won it
And finally, if the official results stated First Friday = Winner and within 2 minutes amended them!!!! don't you think that you have been done out quite badly?

Sporting Life website is not the holy grail for determining official results.
The stewards enquiry claxon went a minute or so after the race had finished, Jason and Luke on ATR clearly thought that it was a pointless exercise and would keep the race, BF punters agreed as it opened up 1.05 to keep it, though drifted to approx 1.13 as time progressed, even I was surprised when it was reversed but nothing underhand here on BF's part.

So far just a topical tip No8 Ho Ho Got U.Text suggests should win but so much laughing and kidding its hard to be sure.
Big Boss, sportinglife only publishes official results; in comparison with Racing Post or TheGuardian who announce faster results but not officially confirmed.!!
