It's highly unlikely Frankie is addicted to this substance Metro. Rather just found him self partying too exuberantly when he shouldn't  have been.

I think it shows tremendous loyalty to Godolphin to have gone to the sheikh and removed himself and therefore the whole issue from their concern when he knew that the test would come back positive. The camelot ride just happened to provide the perfect smokescreen.

i didnt say theres no harm in it workrider, i wouldnt do it myself and theres obviosly a chance, albeit small from my limited knowledge that harm can be done to those who take it. i was talking about it in terms of an offence, which is the sole reason frankie was pulled up by the french stewards. they didnt do it for his general health and well being. i think this, in terms of an offence is next o nothing in my view when compared with corruption

Neither drink or drugs kill in general , both are extremley pleasurable in moderation , its when the are taken to addiction or seen as a medicine for lack of hope they become killers ,

Having had my run ins with both i would say alchohol is far more damaging imo , easy to buy , cheap , tolerated by scociety , so easier to become dependant

this isnt about booze or sniff this is about a professional sportsman taking illegal drugs end of there our no excuses.

From a medical point of view cocaine can clear the system of a fit healthy person in under 6 hours to pass a urine test, so to fail a test after midday has to be of great concern and may indicate a underlying problem with drugs

I have never understood the knee jerk reactions around those found to be taking drugs if they are not performance enhancing.

"probably something silly like a diet supplement...."

Could be I suppose but reports suggest he has failed a test involving cocaine.

A well-placed racing source in Paris told the Evening Standard  that Dettori 'was taken by surprise and shocked when officials demanded a drugs test, following a tip-off from a third party'.

Might be wrong of course, but hardly likely someone tipped them off because he had taken a diet supplement (??????)

Lose three stone over the next year (No christmas pud,no beer,no chips while watching the football while peddling your stationary bike).
Then get up at five every morning for the next thirty years and go to work at whatever it is you do for a living.
Work twelve hour days and become so successful at what you do that you are revered everywhere you go.
And what places you will go.And what temptations. Beautiful women, booze, drugs,la dulce vita.
And during that 30 years never once give in to temptation.
Only then will you have the moral right to criticise anyone who does.

Couldn't agree more and for the record am teetotal myself but a lot of people play down illegal drugs and their dangers (usually because they take them themselves) and then use the dangers of drink too to try to justify it.
