Strange decision given his record at newbury fto.

a corpse, sadly.

In his early days he always used to hang left. Seemed a strange choice to run him here. Sadly seems to have "gone" antway.

anyway

Great shame, love the horse and have followed him off a cliff last season and now this, but defo gone at the game now and nothing to be gained by keeping him in training, retirement beckons I hope
Report flyingbolt November 10, 2012 3:41 PM GMT
He's a bit young to be retired tbf.
Report Evertheoptimist November 10, 2012 3:45 PM GMT
I agree young, but can't see him bouncing back at all, even if he keeps dropping down the handicap, especially as his jumping isn't good enough either
Report buddeliea November 10, 2012 3:48 PM GMT
Think hes been telling his trainer hes had enough for some time now.
Report geoff m November 10, 2012 3:52 PM GMT

Never forget when he gave Burton Port 15lb (currently rated 166)and won a really competitive hcap hurdle on the bit @ Haydock

Maybe a trip down to the vets, check the larynx out. mmmmm

He runs like a horse hurting.  He has an awkward tail carriage which is often a sign of back problems somewhere.

If he were mine I'd retire him, get a good equine chiropracter / McTimoney practictioner to do some work on him, turn him out for a few months, bring him back into work and take him hunting and if he enjoyed that, I'd have a bit of fun in point-to-points with him in the 2013/14 season.
