the man is a legend , always was and always will be. I met him when i was a young lad in the curragh, it was the day commander and chief won the derby. I was around 14 i think and i dropped the pen with nerves when i asked him to sign the programme. He bent over and picked up my pen for me and wished me good luck for the future. No airs or graces about the man. Im really really happy that a horse like Frankel has made things a bit better for him while hes so sick.

He was in a Broadsheet last weekend and talked about his cancer.
He said he had completed cycle 4 of 5 of his chemotherapy treatment and had lost weight and hair as a result. He was more concerned about the hair loss (His words.)
He said his doctors prognosis was very good and they expected the rancid disease to have been beaten by year's end.
Good luck to him.

Currently affecting his chest. One of the reasons his voice sounds coarse (Pushing on his vocal cord).
Verbatim,
"I've had three or four sessions of chemotherapy over the last four months, one more to go, and the scans have been very good. The original cancer I has six years ago has gone. This was a new cancer on my chest, and it was pressing on my vocal cord, damaging nerves and causing me to lose my voice....The cancer is shrinking, it's losing its strength, and the doctors are pretty confident that by the end of the year I will be one hundred percent."
Fantastic news for him and his closest.

Sir Henry and the many great horses he has trained have given me so much enjoyment and pleasure over the last 35 years. I wish him the very best of luck in his continued battle against this dreadful disease.

All the threads that have been started today about him and Frankel and it's clear that to a man we are all pulling for Sir Henry to get better.
Lets hope he does exactly that, a highly respected man in the racing community.
