huntingdon sunday
he rarely visits so plenty of unsuspecting sunday punters who won't be aware
seven races ... he bet 1/5th odds each way in a 7 runner race to near 150% , 1/6th odds each way in FIVE races and 1/7th odds each way in the other.

jimnast bet next to him and clearly will have enjoyed the education.
as he is now treated like an outcast by all the other bookmakers it is easy to feel sorry for him , but i don't

pontefract monday
another 1/6th odds each way day , even with two six runner races instead of 1/4.
have to report he did offer [ the correct ] 1/5th on the one race
but made up for it with a 1/7th odds each way to finish.

this is getting really worrying, he at least used to bet 1/4 in 6/7 runner races !! now when his place percentage is already over the 120% he desires ,he still wants to rip the punters off further !!

Yes I do adge.  He is offering a difference - something many on here applaud after complaining that all boards are the same.
You will say "yes, right. The difference is that I am a quarter and he is a seventh. "  But he may well have win odds you don't want to have to compete with... That's why you don't like him and very understandable too. But there  is nothing of the devil incarnate about that.

i had the same odds on my board as he did on sunday except i was betting to tradditional terms in the place markets,he still took as least as many bets as i did,he is well aware that many punters dont notice,on a long term basis he will cost the industry, the punters who do notice will stop coming racing therfore the racecourses will miss out on revenue and the racecourse bookmakers turnover will go down,we all know the agt and the gc can do nothing about it,but as we are on the land owned by the racecourses then surely the racecourses can do something,or will they wait untill the nasty incident happens and it will one day.

and yes adge it was an education.

The Jockey roadshow moves on to Towcester tomorrow.  Can't wait to see the special offers, there are some tricky EW races there.

Just Bring a tape recorder with a constant recorded message saying beware pick pockets on the racecourse and also rouge bookmakers offering inferior place terms, the bloke betting next to him play's it over and over again all day long, the public will soon get the message....

it just shown tipping tim winning at uttoxeter what a huge crowd there was all around the course, different type of crowds/punters in those days ,i wonder what they would have thought about the antics many racecourse bookmakers get up to nowadays.

oldandwise hes not even differant on his win prices anymore ,except for a few rank outsiders .also if he limited himself to 1/6 th odds ,nobody would really complain .It is the 1/7 th 1/8 th etc that is driving punters away Sad
his new tactic of altering place terms when NOT neccessary is a worrying trend (maybe he is getting desparate as his turnover goes down ?? )dont waste your sympathy Sad
