Hi Alex , please if you have them could you post Pricewises (tom segal only ) p/l to his advised prices for this year only and include ante post bets.

I have his figures for pricewise this year but to various betfair prices taken at different stages of the day , it would be interesting to see how much betfair is behind the advised price.

Thanks

thanks siralex , just in  myself will update in the morning but all betfair prices are way off your advised p/l. i can see why the books run scared from the genius that is Tom Segal (pricewise paper).

if you had taken the betfair price at 915 on the morning the bet/s were given out then your profit for the ytd would be 3.48pts this takes into account all reduction factors and commission at 4.8%.

if you had backed everything to betfair sp then your profit would be 2.10pts this also takes into account commission at 4.8% and all ante post bets that ran obviously not the n/rs.

So its plain to see without the bookies pricewise isnt much use.

In years gone by i would have had 70 to 80 pts of those 116 you say he is up siralex but with ladbrokes and corals out of it i have made nothing , pretty sickning to see these winners roll by and know its pretty much all over.Sad

Blazing what about following only 10-1 above selections or even 20-1 above as advertised. What figures does that show?

Have not looked at that steamship but i should imagine its looking better if you exclude the single figures , when i get the time i will sort through my data and come with some figures.

We all know how his horses get hammered on here in the mornings sometimes by 40 to 50% and with commission and any reduction factors this shows up very heavilly in the long term figures.

The morning price and bsp seem to be very similier over time.

Betfair is not the place to be a blind follower.

Tipsterform record Tom Segals bets at Betfair SP. They have the difference at over 60 pts, but with 41 winners you could recover the lost points by beating the BSP by 1.5pts per bet. I don't know if that's possible, but its a different way of looking at it since the advised price is almost impossible to get.

I obtained 80 out of the 115 points profit this year so far. 8 of those lost were on 1 bet, 33/1 yet only 25/1 available without a bet3.65 account.
Added to that, I am lucky that I have all 4 bookies on the same street 5 minutes from where I live. I used to work on approx 180 points profit per year and getting the price say 2/3 of the time. That would lead to 10 points profit per month so 100 per bet would be 1000 profit per month.

sorry blazing I was not doubting your sums just thought that was extremely low. its hardly worth the effort if you don't get up off your arse early and head to the bookies but as siralex says your need to have them all near you.
