They were talking about rocket salad earlier.....who needs racing when you can be kept informed of how the modern man lives his life....

At least everybody, and anybody, can avail themselves of - and eat, Rocket Salad.

However - the percentage of the present audience who will be identifying with Public School Cold Showers punishment .... whilst wistfully saying -

'Ah, those were the days' ....

Must be minimal.

The one race where they have some horses with reasonable pedigrees and a possible future to talk about and they are arguing about how to pronounce Newcastle. They can't even get castle right anyway, it doesn't have an r in it.

Some of these Kempton maidens are pretty decent, that race had a fair bit of depth to it.

Sometimes Dave Yates deliberates over his answers for so long that he seems to forget what the question was!

I went to a great public school, what the teachers used to get away with then would in no way be acceptable now.

I had to stop my Dad one day from going to the science block to shoot the chemistry teacher who basically tortured me one afternoon when I was being a bit cheeky.

torture?  at my school our existence was so miserable, we used to dream of torture!

I had a great time wee eck, I loved playing rugby and in my time we were nigh on unbeatable, I got in the England squad for under 19's. A great school definitely and I have only got good memories, apart from the occassional episodes of torture from ex R.A.F. officer chemistry teachers that is..
