aiden said "who is moneytree"?
By:
bloods thicker than water. he can say all he likes but he was raging with that ride
By:
How many times does he have to say listen? does he not think people listen to him? from what he said he was trying to make excuses for his son and put the blame on himself for not running pacemakers.
By:
Magnier needs to step in and sort this out,
Appoint Moore as no1 as this won't happen again....... JOB is useless,no clock in his head, weak in a finish, bad version of Spencer |
By:
weight will be the excuse they knew he only had a couple of seasons in him.........

By:
and Francome compared him to Lester
![]() ![]() ![]() aye he's as tall thats where the similarity ends. |
By:
he spoke a lot faster than he normally does and couldnt get his words out properly, a sure sign that he was extremely angry. wish he had the balls to say that the horse was given a poor ride
By:
I think he was embarrassed for his son who let's face it balLzed up BIG TIME
By:
heard him speaking to 5live : he was all over the place, did 'listen' 5 times, and was talking all jittery like.
By:
maybe he's put his head on the line and is expecting it to be chopped off.
By:
Greville Starkey never recovered from the poor ride on Dancing Brave me thinks this will haunt JOB for an awful long time no matter how his father defends him

I agree definitely FURIOUS in that interview. I've watched the race three times now and whilst it true Camelot didn't quicken like in the 2000g and the Derby, O'Brien indicated they expected that. Encke started his surge to the front ½l up on Camelot. JPOB then had to take Camelot around Encke and found himself 3l down. Although Camelot didn't quicken he stayed on quite well and reduced the deficit to 1l by the line. Taking him around Encke like might well have made the difference. Difficult to know if Encke would have found any more. One thing for certain Encke got a better ride.
By:
from where Enke and Camelot were 2½f out, I would have thought the jockey on the Guineas winner was entitled to think he wouldnt get outquickened to that extent....in fact, without the benefit of hindsight, you would have thought more of a concern might be that he wouldnt last home....seems everyone else disagrees
By:
He will be replaced next season. No way will Magnier and co be that forgiving. They are ruthless and sentiment will not be an issue.

Was Soumillon ever even offered the job?

"you would have thought more of a concern might be that he wouldnt last home"
Yes but you dont ride a Guineas/Derby winner in the Leger as a non stayer surely? Certainly not "the best horse I've ever had" |
By:
oom next time over 2mcamelot was GOING ON at the end of that race
77 days off has clearly laid out this horse as one of the great ones b |
By:
rode it magnificently well to get him up in the guineas. you win some, you lose some.
By:
totally agree with you
lazy pace young joseph thinking he's on champion the wonder horse |
By:
As it turned out Dartford only set a steady pace nothing more - whether that was the intention or the jockey misjudged who knows.
By:
Guineas winner lost 2 lengths on Enke thru penultimate furlong of 15f race when both were asked to quicken....i know there's plenty of clever chaps on here but i dont think many of you would have seen that coming BEFORE the race

arrogant coonts ride from o'B - fookin c0ck end.

"He ran a great race but just got beat. It's disappointing for everybody but that's the way it is. That's racing. We expected him to win and if I thought they were going to go that steady I would have had a pacemaker in or two pacemakers. But that's my fault. I was sure they were going to go a pace, but that's the way it was."
O'Brien said: "It wasn't what we thought it was going to be. It was a steadily-run race and Joseph said he was a little bit fresh with him, but that was probably always going to happen in a slowly-run race. "That's the way it is and well done to the winner,. That's the reality of it really. I'm not sure where he will go next. I thought that, if he was to stay in training next year, there was a chance he wouldn't run anymore but I don't know. It will be the boys' decision." Joseph O'Brien was too upset to speak to the press afterwards. |

aiden had promised joe they would call at mcdonalds on the way home to buy him a happy meal if camelot won today. You know how much kids love mcdonalds maybe the pressure got to him.
By:
No excuses for Camelot imo. The distance did him. He might have won if AOB ran five pacemakers to slow it up. The time was respectable.
