"If Camelot wins the Leger and Arc"
-----------------------

He will be knackered.
Report classless September 9, 2012 1:14 PM BST
it would be very funny if he wins the leger and then beats Frankel in the champion stakes Laugh
Report pauli September 9, 2012 1:18 PM BST
Camelot beating Frankel - that's not just funny, it's hilarious and nigh on impossible.
Report classless September 9, 2012 1:19 PM BST
I think O'Brien fancies Camelot is 7 lengths better than St Nicholas Abbey !
Report Soft-Pawn September 9, 2012 1:20 PM BST

After he wins the Leger and Arc he will be quite rightly hailed as one of the greats.

You won't see the like of him for a long time.....Grin

The great Nijinski tried to win the Arc after the Triple...tired in the last strides and got nailed by Sassafras.
I recall him running in a race back in England and got beat by Lorenzaccio slightly tarnishing his CV.
Report pauli September 9, 2012 1:29 PM BST
That was the Champion Stakes TM when he started long odds on.  He is still one of the all time greats imo.
Report topfarrier September 9, 2012 1:31 PM BST
Nijinsky ran in the King George too tbf.......If you are going for the arc after the triple crown you're going to need a

break somewhere in between.....Camelot's had that.
Report silvergreaser September 9, 2012 1:35 PM BST
So Camelot is the most incredible horse we've ever had?, change the record please, no doubt next year we'll have another most incredible horse we've ever had.

I see Born to Sea gave his Irish Derby win a major form boost yesterday yet again!!, main sequence apart maybe?, the English derby form has been pretty dismal, all he is is a good horse beating trees.
Report howard September 9, 2012 1:37 PM BST
Camelot has had an easy year both in terms of number of races and the fact that this years crop are the worst for decades.
Report ebulGery September 9, 2012 1:37 PM BST
yes that was sad toumbourineSad

I felt at the time...that if he had not run in the Leger he would have won the ArcConfused

Then of course they tried to restablish his reputation by running him Champion Stakes

they did not need to really
..he had done enough for season
and had gone well  over the top for the year
so that run ignored and forgiven with me

Camelot had had a much lighter season
so ok to run in both with me
at the moment Nijinksy by far the better of the 2...as things stand to date of courseConfused
