Photo Finishes

I have noticed a trend in the last couple of weeks where judges are calling a photo finish even where the result is relatively clearcut. For example today at Salisbury two photos were called where there was at least a head between the horses. If this is to be the pattern in future it is to be welcomed as it gives us a chance to back on the photo. I hope this change in policy applies to the infamous Smudger!
