What a complete **** of a jockey, that should be a lengthy ban.

I actually hope he dies.

Chill out?  I just lost a bag on that.  I'd gladly pay a  grand to a junkie to stab him.

I just don't get it, tonight was primed for Asian Trader, I made it a fair bet. Surely you would ride the horse to the line but nope, not Liam, he gets the horse turned over. If I was the owner he would get it both barrels in the unsaddling enclosure.

You can understand the frustration lay.  People work like c unts and have their hard earned on for little feckwits do things like that trying to be clever.  I've said it many times Jockeys are not clever they are thick!
By:

When: 13 Aug 12 19:58
agreed bigboss but bawsac clearly isnt as intelligent as the thickest jockey and his comments were ridiculous.

Heat of the moment or not that was way over the top and deserves a ban just as much as the jockey

I know that lamott but this keyboard warrior syndrome is getting a bit out of hand....I think most of them wouldnt say boo to a goose in real life.....rule number 1...dont say anything on line that you wouldnt say face to face.
I agree that jones should be given a lengthy ban but I have stopped betting on this awful summer racing due to incidents like this from jockies who are largely over worked at this time of the year and who are racing for peanuts.....these maiden races are awful and if people keep betting on them then the quality will never improve.....bookie fodder.....if that had been a ten grand race it wouldnt have happened.

At least this answers the question as to why didn't Fallon go for the whip on Ballinger Ridge, as Jones did here and still got beaten.

Was a bit of a strange one though as he did have a quick look to the inner and I know the winner ran up the inside of another runner but did he not see it, or did but always thought he had it beat and was more concerned about looking to see if anything else was coming the other way?

Either way it was surely human error as he does try to get going again and uses the whip and you see him look at the winner again later and reacted but can't be sure if that was a reaction to seeing it for the first time or seeing that it's not as done and duster as he thought?

Should have won though and understandable if backers were peeved, although clearly to different extents.

My point is, do your job. If I had done a similar act in my world I would expect to get a backlash.

You are on the best horse, nobody wants you to be clever just do your job and win the race. It's hardly too much to ask.

I'm not a jockey basher as a rule but that was beyond the pale. Just get the horse home in front, that after all is your job when all is said and done.

It's unlucky if you have no control over it and that wasn't the case here and it happens far too often with jockeys that you think they would learn their lesson.

I still have some sympathy with any jockey who makes a genuine mistake when they clearly didn't mean for something to happen but it's a bit much to label punters pr1cks who have lost their money through no fault of their own when they have made the right judgement and so deserve to be rewarded, even if some of the messages above might have been a bit OTT.

"a genuine mistake"?

A misjudgement, surely?

He was looking round for dangers when he should have been pushing the horse out more firmly, imo.

I wonder what Mr Haggas made of the ride.

No problem lamott and it's easy enough to do.

Agreed GEORGE.B but how does any of that change the fact it was a mistake or if you mean you would call it a misjudgement rather than a mistake then is there any significant difference?

There are only 2 possible options, that he didn't mean it to happen or he did and I don't think many would say he did.
