I can assure you he is neither smarmy or slippery, and has always been most friendly chatting while on free time away from media duties.

That's just what I see elisjonn. If he took on the people he interviewed, asked
challenging probing questions, instead on continuously appeasing and fence sitting.
Never says anything controversial, it's typical of C4. The man has no appeal in front
of the camera. Not a bad commentator though.

SF - I don't mind Cattermole in the main, and he may well be a decent bloke, but this double-act is sickening to the core
