It's more other horses avoiding Frankel and he's retired enough of them or had others give up and change/intend to change distances but it was always the owner's intention to go for his own race at 10f anyway and it will be interesting to see how many and which ones turn up on the day.

Yup 100% agree amazing animal, amazing miler but wish connections would grow a pair. He runs in the Juddmonte and might run in the Champion then retires. Wont even leave England to run in France Ireland or the States and at most will run 10f twice, is that a real great when you look at what some of the greats in the past did.

there are few doubters imo. theyre just 2 10f races. any horse worth their salt will be racing in the arc instead of the champion, the champion has been a poor back end g1 now for years. usually a last min option for horses that have disappointed in the arc. it wouldnt take an exceptional horse to win 2 10f group 1s.

One isolated bit of form either way brigust1 proves very little or you might just as well flag up Roberto beating Brigadier Gerard by 3L at 10f.
It's not as if Frankel was all out today also but none of this is meant to knock either horse but just highlight how little it all means by comparison. |

No one is doubting Frankel's freakish ability,But i personally think his connections are lacking ambition,He's proven himself at a mile,
So why don't they just retire him?Either that or run him in the Arc,But connection are scared he may lose his unbeaten tag, i actually think he'd win the Arc,ive no doubt he'd stay,But guess we'll never find out. |

I would have said around 60 different horses from countries such as England, Ireland, France, Germany and Japan that included Gr1 winning sprinters to Derby and other Gr1 12f winners qualified as quite a variety, but then if all you are doing is wanting to sneer without knowing or looking up the facts then that would explain quite a lot.

Isolated Ima? He (BG) ran 7 times at a mile and won by an average of 5+ lengths. In one race (Lockinge) he gave 22lbs to the 2nd ad in another, the QE11, he gave 7lbs to the second. Frankel has won 9 times at a mile by an average of 5+ lengths giving no weight away to the second? I wouldn't call that isolated.
