These people are scum, they dont care a jot about what works or not, they just want CHANGE.

They will treat us with contempt because largely we are docile.

Horse Racing needs its own Anders Brevik..............

Agree with all and might add that they lack a feel for the sport - however, we are sadly now in a time were the vast majority of the under 30's generation who go in LBO's are there for a footy bet, and maybe a quick spin of the machines. I tend to repeat myself on this subject but if you are of a generation that first entered a betting office 30 years or more ago, you would very likely have looked at the Sporting Life form on the walls, read Man On The Spots analysis, maybe looked at the Whitford ratings, then came to a conclusion.  You were taking an active involvement in the sport and contributing to the levy in the process. The only other option would be the dogs, a limited fixed odds coupon for Saturday with a minimum of 5 on the open list,or maybe a Tennis or Golf bet on one of the four majors only. In fact,at least over 90% of business was on the horse.

Racing has now lost its appeal to the vast majority of the younger generation who bet. They may help swell these massive Saturday summer crowds but the figures are merely papering over the cracks. If for example they contribute to a massive gate on what is now Ebor Saturday; when they go in an LBO on Monday it will be to have a bet on the Monday Premier footy match.

After Frankel won the Queen Anne Teddy Beckett was going on about how such a horse is attracting a new audience to racing, he said ' I've had parents coming up to me saying that their son or daughter has been bitten by the racing bug'. Well, as the parents he knows are more than likely connected some way to the sport it's unlikely that there is going to enough of them to regularly bet on racing and contribute to the levy.

The sport in this country is losing it's genuine fans as those that are passing away or becoming disillusioned with the mundane fixture list are not being replaced. NH racing could definitely be in danger in the near future, and that is the wing of the sport that snatches up and converts newcomers in larger numbers than the flat.

^ Correct

But the giddy ones at Racing for Change CANNOT see that .

They do NOT realise that =aswell as NOT attracting ANY NEW audience -
They are, in fact,  accelerating Racing's decline and demise -
