Try making your own selections by buying the paper, and putting some effort into getting a winner instead of following like blind sheep lol!

Ladbrokes £10 max on noble citizen @ 22/1

In the recent 'Sir Tom' Twitter PR drive, the Racing Post official Twitterer said that the column is meant for £10 or £20 punters.

This is the perfect outcome for the RP and its bookmaker business partners/owners - the value gets redistributed from the shrewd to the clueless, and the bookmakers are very happy thank you to take bets only from those they know are going to lose any winnings back to them in the end...

Check out where both of these firms are based not 500 yards from each other.Surely there cannot be any swapping of client information...Their staff must meet in a social environment....

Why this assumption - it purveys throughout gambling - that all big punters are shrewd and all £10 punters are mugs? The biggest mugs I've known are those that bet big, have the odd win, large it up when that happens, carry on betting big to appear they know wheat they are doing (and love to tell people about it) but don't end up 'winning' any more than smaller punters and when they lose the lose a lot more.
The assumption that big staking punters are shrewd has kept bookies in clover for years and years. With gambling it aint what you put in but what you take out that matters!

The £10 max(available for minutes)is only available to ordinary losing punters. On account, any punter who does not bet in the only way bookmakers now allow i.e never  look for value and bet like a mug, will not be allowed to bet on Pricewise or  anything else.In the shops bookmakers have made it pointless to make the trip by only allowing £10 or £25 max on Pricewise (and are quickly turning cash into loser only also). So  ordinary punters who bet in the way that is the whole point of having the column i.e. are price..wise can't bet.The prices are in effect only available to punters who are price..stupid.The Post has allowed(or worked with its bosses)the column to be turned full circle and become part of the bookmakers loser only scam working against their readers not for them.

PS big staking losing punters will be allowed to bet far more. Most of these mug punters probably do not have the patience and discipline, give up after one long losing run and miss the winner so also lose on Pricewise.

The racing media ofcourse are rewarded for services rendered by being allowed to bet to bet on Pricewise or anything else. They are like those little fish that attach themselves to big fish and feed on their sh ite.

The Racing Post Pricewise tub thumping, when the only possible endgame for anyone who backs the selections and wins is account closure/restriction, is truly obscene, imo...

toronto - most punters are happy to back a winner at any have decent odds ,so your logic dosent stack up,if they miss 10/1 can still get 8/1 ,also £ to £25 is the majority of peoples saturday staking plan ,the people who no doubt pay your salary (if you work in the industry).

what are they meant to do stand there giving out 100/1 all day to any amount of money, which would close them down ,which would close racing down ,then this forum,

then you d no doubt be moaning that pricewise closed racing down and the column was a waste of space.

100% the idea of the column, as far as the RP and its bookmaker owners/business partners are concerned...

CHill

Just because your customer is not shrewd does not mean you should be allowed to scam him.Would it be ok if you bought a savings plan that was advertising 3% interest but instead you were offered 2% when you filled in the application form.Your argument is exactly the way bookmakers now act."Its OK to scam punters because they are stupid and we have the media in our back pocket so we can get away with it".Anyway why do you think a punter would be ok with picking up 225 when it was advertised he would pick up 275.

Yet again,no one is saying bookmakers should lay huge amounts on popular horses.Just as they used to,when they were still making large profits, reasonable bets. They are not laying anything on account unless you are a long term proven loser and in the shops not worth the hassle and petrol to get 10 or 25 on in the few minutes they lay it.So far from having huge liabilities, they only lay tiny amounts to proven losers.

What is the bigger picture is not just them manipulating price wise to be  a tool for them but the fact that they are now getting away with a loser only policy.

Bookmakers have operated for years before the fobts by being bookmakers and would in the future.By taking bets and making a book they would make far more money than driving all their mid range punters to here .
