Oddschecker is a tool of the "Bookmakers" and at best is inaccurate because the prices only change when the individual sites are "scraped".
In laymans terms it is behind real time sometimes on their poorer days by up to 15 minutes...

Incidentally there are far more accurate sites out there.Since the "Imaginary Sign" reappeared Oddschecker has gone downhill.The price changes have become less clear and I would suspect that it is more useful to the "Bookmakers" than the punter...

i have never once said that i back Hugh's selections...i know full well the difficulties inherent with the column ie merely marks bookies card, prices go immediately, accounts get closed etc....but i do believe that the odds were available before selections are posted and thus the p/l figure is a fair reflection of HT's ability as a tipster....what isnt fair is to blame Hugh for the way bookies conduct their business...his column, being successful, merely highlights their dubious practices

homefortea, if Hugh thinks the horse is value at 16s, it's hardly surprising that someone in the whole of the country thought it was value at 25s, is it? all the 20s had gone nearly 2 hrs before the selection was posted, as far as i can see, so you cant point the finger at the tea boy at ATR there surely

He put up Elegant Flight as an eyecatcher a while back ( I had it on my tracker ) and then he failed to put it up as a selection yesterday and it won at 16/1.
Very strange especially as timeform gave it a good writeup, I have no idea why Hugh didnt select it as it was a good price.
