Going to the arc this year for first time with horse racing abroad as i was pretty happy with the deal i got from them with all transfers ect sorted, any do's or dont's from anyone who has been before?? , i hear its pretty hard getting a bet on with their tote system with long queues and slow staff?? any input from anyone who has any expierience would be appreciated.

Hi Leeroy, I use the automated machines near the entrance, and put all my bets on in 1 go..then collect at the end of the day from the pmu kiosk windows. It is near impossible to queue to put your bet on, then see the paddock and get to the grandstand. Horse Racing Abroad are a professional outfit, have English people in the kiosks so you could place a bet in there if you have a pavillion ticket? Racing is quiet on a Saturday (quite a few group races too). Sunday is very busy and has an excellent standard of racing.

I think the last time I received their booklet it said they provided special betting booths in their own pavilion.
the only thing was it was so much more expensive to go with HRA than to make your own way. |

Great, thanks for your replys, yes i have a pavillion ticket for both days although as i understand its dead on the sat so prob wouldnt need it although there is some quality racing on the sat as a rule, having looked at all the options it was slightly more expensive through hra but for the sake of a few quid with everything sorted for a 1 off payment i was happy with it. thanks.
