Those two American owners who raced under Pell Mell Partners and best known for the exploits of Katabatic, had horses with him. They originally had Andy Turnell as their trainer and were close friends with Turnell and his wife. It was rumoured that they did not approve of Turnells private affairs that led to him separating from his wife and took their horses away and used Gifford and Morlock.
