I love the guy, genuinely loves the sport and has fun
Give me him a million times over a cynical presenter. The people love him too and that can't be ignored.
Get well soon.

Loads of people on here knock him, but I think he's great for the sport. Even now he's relentlessly cheerful and optimistic, stating that he's frustrated about having to miss the races for the next month or two but will still be watching on TV from his hospital bed!

Go Thommo, you lip-smacking 'here comes the big outsider' loveable bag of crass, cliched commentaries!Love

As for your recovery, let's hope it's speedy....but I'll leave that one for the judge...

Like a few previous posters...I have to concede I am NOT a fan at all, and I'm no hypocrite, but neither am I a piece of sh*te that'd revel in such news - nevertheless, I hope he gets well, though his penance must be to NEVER infest our screens again!

If you're reading Derek/Artie...don't take that the wrong way DevilWinkGrin

Cannot abide the man but would not wish that illness on anyone hope the treatment is successful.

The man's a charlatan, a sycophantic, groveling, cringing, nauseating, patronizing, crawling
ass licking, brown noser of the highest decree. The fact that is employed and tolerated year in year out.
Is symptomatic of all that's wrong with our racing media.  He possesses every facet of character every single
man should not wish to be inflicted with, the above description is transparent in his plastic public facade
that most people in racing have to contend with daily.

Do I wish him ill health, absolutely not, I hope he recovers fully, should I disguise my account of him
because he has an illness no, now that would be hypocritical and two faced.

When he returns and I'm sure he will, he will revert to type

motley has called it - and very well articulated too. If someone behaves in a manner you find despicable, such news should not change your opinion one iota. Of course, no one wishes ill health on anyone.

He's a really decent man, and let's hope he makes a full recovery.

As for the tipping line, anyone who thinks that the publication in which the adverts for it exist is not the driving force behind it, needs to sit down, take a look at that same publication's advertising rate card, and do the maths, imo...

Surely Thommo is far better at his job than nearly anyone on ATR with exception of Chapman.  Tell me WHO is better?
