The total silence suggests to me people have written off the money and Sobey is avoiding UK racecourse champagne bars and possibly the country.

But only just started the book i'll come back to you when i'v read it all. How much of it can be believed I do not know.

Last year "Centaur are delighted to announce that they have entered into an agreement with Betfair to provide a programme of sports trading courses to Betfair clients from September 2010 to early 2011. During this period we hope to work with Betfair to extend the basis of this initial agreement to other aspects of trading education/information"

google search reveals they had £5million under management. Seriously hope it was ringfenced...
Centaur (Kieth Sobey and co) at one time used a similar Box No. address in Northumberland to another failed tipster who was in jail at one time!! I'm sure you all know who that was. Minimum investment of £90,000 for the sports fund wasn't it? http://www.independent.co.uk/money/spend-save/new-sports-fund-ready--for-kickoff-1929166.html Not the biggest surprise if this is true Not much new news but the missing money seems to be official now http://www.nebusiness.co.uk/business-news/latest-business-news/2012/01/30/investors-facing-1-6m-loss-after-centaur-collapses-61634-30224828/ |

the fund is also very expensive to run. It levies a management fee of 3 per cent per annum, a 30 per cent performance fee and stiff early-redemption penalties, starting at 5 per cent in the first year, then falling 1 per cent each year until it reaches zero.
Ker-ching!! |
