So why did it go off at 1/6 if it was expected to be jet lagged. Given the build up the horse was disappointing. Can only go on what we see and what we saw was anti-climatic to say the least.

Probably down the fact that DB had proved himself the best in europe and breeders cup came after a long season, plus you think 1m4f races takes more out of a horse.

Not that we know if BC ran to her best, but then you could say that about a lot of horses. But she had shown ultra consistency during her career so far.

They can't get her on a plane quick enough after that scare in order to preserve her unbeaten record.

I would have happily laid her at around 4/7 if she was to remain in the UK for the July Cup.

Nope, but his forms been shocking since he left as well. And if i'm been honest he's probably more than 10L worse than her in aus.

And you've seen other aussie horse come over and do well, star witness last year in the king's stand and if not for the slow track would've gone close to winning the DJ as well.

She was below par.

I don't notice any European sprinters heading off to Oz to take her on down there .

She's better than that performance but there's nothing there to suggest she was below par and had she been ridden properly without the over confidence then she would have clocked a decent enough time.

For what it's worth though even if pushed out, she wouldn't have won as easily or by as far as they were expecting or many were claiming and I have a sneaking suspicion the jockey knew that and tried to look a bit too nonchalant, as if they weren't fussed about the manner of or the length of victory and so were bluffing but could point to that after the race. Of course that's just a personal theory though.

One thing that seems to have been overlooked though after the race but isn't there a rule about having to weigh in within a certain time? 10 minutes after the race?

Beating Soul by 1L doesn't suggest she was below form? He was 10L or more behind her in Aus.

She only had a length or 2 at best in her. So even if she beat him by 3 that's still a dramatic difference from aus.
