This guy might be the nicest guy in racing but how can you ever back any of his with confidence.  His horses run so variable and often crash in the immediate pre-off betting then run to reflect that.

Every interview he's given on tv he's always been courteous, respectful, articulate and professional with the presenter. He speaks like a lawyer or someone very earned.

You must be young to not know.

I'm in my mid 60 but only interested in horseracing when Shergar was on the scene. Michael Jarvis was a trainer I'm not familiar with.

You cant remember everything, impossible!  BUT Michael Jarvis does not predate Shergar, well not by much. Post Shergar, he just won just the two English Classics, one Arc and one French and Italian Derby, a couple of Champion stakes and several other Group 1's.......Still you're more familiar with him now.

Won quite a few GP1s,including the Arc.

I've just 'googled'. I see Mr Jarvis won The ARC with Carroll House. I believe John Reid was the jockey (from memory). I cannot remember what I backed in that race then. In those days I knew very little form merely backing the horse on the day; no pictures in shops either ticker-tape and Extel. Also, I was more into greyhound racing then.

And, studies when I found time! Hence I'm here, and semi-retired; a promising individual but not always have delivered!

I even got that wrong. Sorry! What won for John Reid then? He did win an ARC, did he not?

John Reid - Tony Bin. I remember now.
