Racing media is running wick with inane nonentities who know a fraction about the sport & have been getting by on that knowledge base for years, too many to list on here in all honesty, it's 96% of the atr front of camera staff for starters & the BBC team is just unsuited to the broadcasting of horse racing altogether despite having some people with a fair grounding in the basics of the sport.

What's really frightening, is that the excellent Lydia Hislop was signed up by the BBC at pretty much the same time as Persad, so someone genuinely thought that this crminally lightweight, 'how does it feel' clown was a better choice to take on the most important role in the broadcast than her...
