watching a different race to the rest of us.  if smullen tried a touch harder, it would have won, fact.

if the race was run again....we'd see a different level of effort esulting in a diffeent result....

Asking to beat a newcomer up to get the win? Both were newcomers given an equally good ride. The winner clearly the better horse.

What a load of rubbish some people talk. PJSmullen is world class -- other horse found more again. Happens all time. No jock worth salt gives a horse hard time fto.

Didn't see the race so can't comment, but Smullen's been generally poor this season imop.

I follow Weld stable in fact, but backed the winner in that race. Suggest it is better instead of talking rubbish about a jock to follow him a while. There is no one better in racing that PJSmullen in getting a horse out of the stall and into a good race position. Johnnie Murtagh similar class. The rest is up to the horse mostly.
