car parks at these racecourses

sandown free in the centre of course park....goodwood,windsor and salisbury free....brighton free last time i went but some time ago

galway the only course in ireland where they charge to park car. greedy.

sorry lads just another quick question do all of those racetracks have the big screens or would i need to bring my binoculars...thanks again...

Big screen or not always bring your bins.

Sandown had a big screen for the Brigadier Gerrard meeting that I went to the other week. Goodwood will definitely have, haven't been to others for awhile so not sure about them.

Goodwood parking is only free if you are ok with a 5/10 minute walk and a bit of a queue to get out unless you leave before the last race. The free car park, back of car park 8 is a lovely place to picnic though so you can let any crowds disperse before you go. Re the big screen, there is a big one just past the winning post very clearly visible from the  Richmond enclosure but pretty sure there is not one visible from the cheap seats (but wouldnt know)

I'm an annual member at Sandown and confirm they always have a big screen as does Salisbury...in fact don't think i've been to a course in the past few years which doesn't.

dont normally have one at hexham

not always a big screen at thirsk............ (think it got fookin' nicked lookin' at some of the characters who turn up there!).

my comment about always having a screen nowadays was referring to my stamping ground which is in the main the southern courses plus the bigger courses elsewhere.

hexham has one in middle of track..

workrider . many , many years ago whilst  at galway they asked if a car could be removed at once ...the hapless punter had parked it on the track itself !  not me by the way .

Paid a tenner when booking for last few visits at Glorious Goodwood. Guess other meets must be free.

Barstool - you pay at all Goodwood meetings. and Car Park 8 is the main public carpark. Car Park 9 is adjacent AND FREE but is typically 5/10 minutes further away from the entrances.

I should have realised.posy who,despite being a right-winger,was a very decent bloke,was banned a couple of years ago for some fairly innocous remak about women's football. He's not able to come back - at least I assume he hasn't. If he has managed,under another name,he has my email address I would like to know and of course I wouldn't give the game away ( except for parachuting him into the Humbugs when we get a vacancy ).
