cant wait for moans about knock backs and account closures.

The reason they have decided to launch a fixed odds book,is that their turnover (liquidity) has fallen through the floor.Personally,I dont see this as the answer to their turnover problems.Infact,I think it is one of the worse things they could have done. The high street bookmakers must be feeling very smug at the moment.

Delta surely the complications of vested interests will come into play.

I think it's time we had 2 sites, one for the exchange and the other for bookmaking and the casino rubbish.
Report dominion May 29, 2012 11:07 AM BST
Seems logical Mr Sparrow. But they wont do it,because they want you to go on all the rides, not just the dodgems.

Liquidity aside unlikely to happen if prices are 10% bigger on the exchange imo. Even Betty greed would surely not permit restricting a commission generating exchange player on the fixed odds.

They'll be all sorts of trading, hedging and cross matching shenanigans going on, hope they've got those bots programmed correctly...

The stake exceeds the maximum for this selection.

I've found one market where they are pricing up a book where the exchange is empty so far.
Football->Poland v Slovakia->Correct Score. The exchange has 2.2 for all selections, the fixed odds is priced up to 140% (so hardly taking much risk here).

Just tried to place a £11 bet and it got knocked back

Oh dear - I stand corrected Blush.  So all those thousands in commission Delta has paid over the years won't even allow him a £100 bet at 4/5 on a footie match.  I should have known better than to believe that Betty greed had boundaries, they clearly don't.  What a shameless and despicable company Betty has become...

A clear indication that this fixed odds betting is clearly a vehicle for Betty to trade and line their own pockets with minimum risk and not take bets like a traditional bookmaker, hardly going to attract customers now is it?

Bf 2 main selling points - Not closing down winners and allowing larger bets.
Very surprised they've gone down this route.

There's plenty of people on here who would quite happily take 10% less than current price for size. The customers who don't play as big could probably manage to get on with whatever money is already on the exchange at the current price.
Cannot see who they are trying to attract if they knocking back (and probably offering less than the books.).
