league position and purchase of pretty much some hopeless players didnt help.......

Deserved, a poor judge lacking in perceptiveness and intelligence (if his interviews are anything to go by)He was a great footballer though I gather.

All round the Fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and he could play) Stevie Heighway on the wing We had dreams and songs to sing Of the glory round the Fields of Anfield Road |
By:
Good knews imo, that feckin anorak he wore did my heed in.
By:
Teams like that do not deserve success. It takes a long time for a manager to settle in so here's to Liverpool having a **** season next season.
By:
smug & sarcastic tw@ - imo of course
By:
Shame. the tw@t was doing a great job imo.
By:
He has spent tens of millions on players with nothing about them brigust, it would be reckless to leave him in the job.
By:
He was a great player tbf and enjoyed a great first spell....but the game has moved on and even armchair coaches would know that buying Henderson and Downing to name 2 that questions most...
By:
Fat árse can now relax in an even bigger armchair..
By:
OVERS' the most worrying part of your post is the Woy has picked Downing for Euro 2012 and Henderson is a reserve !!
By:
out of his depth since day 1.....a ridiculous appointment in the first place
By:
I think he seemed more cncerned with giving smart arse backchat comments to scribes at times.
Agree with Overseas completely, but then everyone would, it's just common sense. |
By:
all the way to america for a see you later , thanks for coming

Good riddance.

Invariably making himself look like a complete **** in the process |
By:
was expected, there is a big difference between rank stupidity and blind loyalty. That team has gone backwards.A cup run smoothed over the cracks for a while but reality bites. Not sure who wants that poisoned chalice and if they get £150mill to get competitive.
By:
I think he has only signed 2 decent players, Suarez and Enrique, the rest have been appauling. When you think Carroll and Aguero commanded the same transfer fee. Henderson costing the same as what Alonso was sold for. Silva costing just 4 mil more than Downing. UNBELIEVABLE
By:
Keep on with your smug smartarse comments chaps.
The fact is we WIIL be back and very soon. Still the most successful team in British history and you wont see us down for long now. Enjoy it while it lasts boys. |
By:
Long way back from down there.
By:
Villa and Sunderland must have done a double take when Liverpool agreed those prices...
By:
If they were to bring someone in to take the whole thing down they couldn't have found someone to do a better job.
By:
I think they're ****ed Dave tbh, bar some kind of Russian/arab petrodollar intervention. No compelling reason why they should turn things around. There are 5 or 6 better positioned both long and short term.
By:
Kenny wasnt the problem..it was the players........
By:
even more worrying he was the replacement for a failing manager ....err wonder who that was then?.....the above comments say a lot about the current england manager
By:
wasn't Comoli that chose them and Kenny that OK'ed them, culpable
By:
The fact is we WIIL be back and very soon.
The really funny thing is, you lot have been saying that for the last 20 years. Perhaps a bit of humility instead of such grandiose statements might serve you better? |
By:
The right decison to remove him now than wait till xmas as Terry Mac is thinking ...gives the new manager 2 mths to get things in place....challenging for 4th should be the goal....
By:
also liverpools biggest problem isn't KD or what he has (or hasn't) done, but the legacy from the previous yanks
By:
Whos Moreno and who does he manage? Maybe the yanks do know more about football than we give them credit for.Every non Liverpool fan will be raging hes sacked.Typical Liverpool fan re t a r d s wanted him to remain
By:
It was his current attitude that was the problem.Looking for a fight all the time.

Bit like u TT! ![]() Will the Germans beat the Russians on Sat? |
By:
Liverpool fans live in the past. They are no longer a big club, nor are they any good
By:

Correct. The Yanks would have been far from impressed with his attitude and demeanour in press interviews (not least during the Suarez affair). Made himself look foolish which doesn't reflect well on the club. |
By:
Some of you guys are so short sighted. Man Utd do well because the chap in charge has been there for donkey's years and so have some of the players. Every year you see these clubs spending loads with a new manager who knows short term results are the only answer otherwise he gets ditched. Stupid idea. Even Man City nearly blew it ffs. If they hadn't scored those 2 goals in injury time would their manager be dumped? And he could be the best manager in the League.
The sooner these teams make longer term contracts so that a manager can get the team playing the way he wants, the better. Until then the bookies will be making fortunes in manager sacking lists. |

Nothing to do with contract length. They give them lengthy enough contracts. They just terminate them and end up shelling out a load of money. |
