Unless you've been here years, it's not worth explaining....basically fake tipster pretended he was getting tips off a female tipster he called Carly. When it all went tits up he said Carly had died to try and get sympathy!. Had to admit they were his tips and Carly was a figment of his imagination.

All I know is that it was the greatest thread ever on this forum! Absolutely hilarious.

Didn't know BC was that upset.... It was very funny for neutrals, but it was also nasty trick to pull on a decent chap.

could have  made my description of the  incident more clearer , if any one did not hear  it , one of the commentators on timeform radio broke in to say i have some rather sad racing news, making me fear  someone connected to the sport had passed on, his co presenter asking him to take a while to compose himself as he chocked away in the background. was  a  bit of an anti climax when he said it was florida pearl. an hour later he then told us it was only a rumour and the horse was not dead
