This looks a match for me between ISLAND LIFE & WALCOT LATHYRUS

ISLAND LIFE looks to have found a new lease of life lately, & sets the standard here, having already won 2 Hunters with ease & was running well when it fell at Aintree….trained by the man of the moment in hunters..Steve Flook….
20f is definitely its trip & Ludlow will suit it well…. looks better on good ground these days…although won on yielding/soft in Ireland so cant have that as an excuse if its beaten & will take some pegging back if it gets an easy lead, providing its confidence hasn’t been affected by the fall at Aintree….
ISLAND LIFE is a stand out on form in this field & will be very hard to beat!!
Only a 7yr old, WALCOT LATHYRUS is a pointer who looks to be very progressive, from one of the top P2P yards ….Sheila crow…makes its Hunter Chase debut here.
Pulled up on its point debut last year, then went to Tabley & won its maiden by 15l.
It has won all 3 points in 2012…..starting off in January at Thorpe Lodge where it stayed on well over 20f, then went to bangor (20f) & won on the bit by 8l……then last time out , hacked up at
Eyton-on-Severn by a distance over 3m..albeit in a 3 horse race which was no more than an exercise canter…..but the horse its beaten this year are not in the same league as ISLAND LIFE!
Paddy Gerety….Sheila Crows head lad (joined the stable last year), has ridden WALCOT LATHYRUS in all its victories & has stated that this is the best Pointer he has ever ridden….& he has ridden a few of the stables horses…
Owner Derek Pugh from Shropshire, is reluctant to travel to see WALCOT LATHYRUS run & Sheila Crow has stated “I would like to win a hunter chase with the horse for him at Ludlow.".. …
but I cant see it being this one, as it will have to be a really good performance to beat ISLAND LIFE
FAIRWOOD PRESENT…at 14 yrs.. is getting no better & has a lot to prove on its last run, along with the rest of the field… who don’t look good enough.
ISLAND LIFE has to give WALCOT LATHYRUS 5LB, but is rated way better than this field….& I cant see that stopping it, even though WL has been winning easily in Points…this could just be a step too far on its hunter debut against a proven horse like ISLAND LIFE…who has to take a good deal of stopping here.
Was hoping for around evens.....but deserves to be odds on...

morning koi,yet again i agree with you, its a match between a proven grade 2 winner in ireland and a up an coming youngster anything around evens would make it a bet for me. was going to go garthorpe today but its lashing it down here (im 12 miles away) an i cant see it being on. the trainer chris bealbys wife had 3 very interesting hunters entered.
why do people think they are special tipping up odds on pokes ? silly stuff

rocky....I only go for the ones I think will win...regardless of price.There was a 3 horse hunter last week with an odds on fav,,,but stated on here it was a no bet race..too many unknowns...the outsider won it..............& some keep saying the fav always wins

I saw the race at hexham mate,I usually bet in running but the race was that bad I left well alone.

Well done Koi, Kohaku used to give an account just like yours and like you was almost always spot on with his analysis. Trouble was the usual numbties who frequent this forum got stuck into him much the same way that they are starting with you.. He walked away from it and with him went countless winners, he now does brilliant ratings which again are nearly always on the mark........trouble is you have to pay for them. Typical forum losers will ruin it for everyone again. Takes a man with a broad back to ignore them.
I have no problem putting them up..wether I'm right or wrong...there will always be the odd one that has something negative to say...usually the ones that dont put anything up themselves.
but maybe not the night before as I've missed out on prices ...as i dont bet on here i have to wait until the books price up

No Barking...there is never the liquidity & can never get what I want on at the price..
my bets are usually on the night before if the price is up with the books, or 1st thing when they price up.
also I refuse to pay to bet....the prices are sometimes bigger with the books anyway, but I find there is not alot of difference.
I never lay off or bet in running...so not missing out on much lol.
