4.45 Picnic Package - New For 2012 Handicap (CLASS 5) (4yo+ 0-75) Winner £2,386 Brockfield 12/1 1pt e/w Brockfield ran here 13 days ago where he was running after a break of 4 months off the track,given that he has not won first time out in the last 3 seasons he may be a little fitter today, I take on board he was 7/2fav but I think he traded about 1.03 in the place market so he must have tired quickly in the last 1/2 furlong. The distance is 2f shorter today and although he has not won over 1m before the stiff finish here at ponty will be a big help to him. Also robert winston has only rode him once and won on him is back on today so at 12/1 he seems a good e/w bet. |

Although he is up against all the top yards the only two times this O'Brien castoff has encountered soft or heavy ground he has won and been 2nd, also worth noting he was fav and 2 fav on both those runs so the yard know he prefers this ground. Beaten 3 and 1/4L by daddy long legs is decent form considering the race was run on ground not suited by foot soldier. welds horse also acts on the ground but a three year old carrying 10st 2LB eh I will give that one a miss thank you |

Ile de re has not run for 60 days but I a sure the mccain will have him fit for this. Having raced only once at chester where he finished a decent 4th btn 4 1/2L I a willing to give a go tomorrow as in my view he seems to be a horse who can handle the hurly burly of a big field with 3 of his wins coming in 10 and 12 runner fields. He has not been lucky with the draw but jim maybe able to keep him covered for most of race and produce him in the last 2f. sound easy eh. |

Chankillo ran ok last year coming from a yard who had a bad virus which effected nearly every horse,he seems to only get going towards the end of his races. The southwell 2nd reads well with the winner winning his next two races who now races off 85.Kempton should suit its style of running this evening. |
