I'd be looking to save a few quid in a fitness prep race before spending a few quid on a jock when I thought we could win.
I'm going for three at bigger prices Gower Rules, Iguaca and Endaxi Mana Mou who I think is a cracking price.

nah cruise i can see where your coming from but he'd then be 'his lad' if they wanted see what they had then a pro be on. williams is a fully fledged of 'claiming for success'

look guys its not right 0-60 handicappers being able to run 7lbs 'well in' while the hcapper is out dining .
i tell you everyday its getting out of hand
but anyway it pays i do feel a tad guilty mind

Whilst i agree with you in principle Hushwing(as you know), do you actually think that Downing is as good a jockey as Fallon? If not then how much of an allowance do you think he should be entitled to claim against senior jockeys, or do you just think that they shouln't be able to claim anything and just gain riding experience against other apprentices?

well no but i strongly believe in weights over jockeys. especially in certain ground conditions , you see hannah nunn powering home yesterday?
williams took the view that 7lbs off would do the trick over that distance , it helped the way the horse travelled and minimses the 'strength in finish' factor.
Of course fallons better but not 7lbs for me . theres risk yes in putting faith in the youngster but i'm absoloutly certain in my mind that if the jockeys were switched yesterday the result would be the other way round.
Guest will be kicking himself, theyve just dragged de silva back from scandinavia for his 5lbs, they play the apprentice game.
solutions wise , few ideas.
a reduction in the allowances , especially in handicaps , 10lbs for a 3m hurdles a joke more apprentice races
then this outside rides thing , i think needs be looked into to stop these youngster going through their winners so fast before being slung on the scrap heap.
whats wrong with them being attached only to a yard , maybe a couple. so they steady gain experience building a career
