perhaps jockeys can tell us beforehand if they are willing to break the rules to win. Both Ballabriggs last year and Neptune Collonges flogged and the runners up not abused. thats fair.all in all another great day for racing. A bloodbath and i bet the BBC are delighted to be getting out

BHA will come down hard on winning jockey for bringing racing into disrepute. He could face a fine of 2s/6d.

how many strikes were there on the 1st and 2nd? any confirmed numbers yet?

I've not heard anything official redferrari but I think the winner had at least 10 slaps after the last. The 2nd I'm not sure about but if I had to guess I'd say 4.
