I agree it is not acceptable to keep butchering horses with the way this race is run. The obvious way to make it a lot safer is to reduce the size of the field, but frankly if it got cancelled completely it would not be a bad thing.

Agree 100% with posters saying this race is barbaric, the race is too long & over croweded. Healthy horses wasted just for the sake of a bet. Hardly worth it.

Didn't see what happened to Synchronised - he definitely jumped the fence after his fall - but on the replay According to Pete got up but looked to have a leg swinging.

According To Pete still going well , brought down . Didn't like the look of Synchronised's fall one bit , sad memories of 1979. The newspapers will be over the moon and on the attack for tomorrows papers . |
