Two years ago I had40000 commission points -today I have less then 2000.I had several complaints which were all delaltwith in a high handed fashion.There are alternatives out there and not just exchange alternatives.

It was 1.01 they'd fu ck things up today and it would have been a safe investment.

I haven't placed a bet on this website for years. The main reason is the appallingly bad odds for the placings (sometimes 1/10th instead of the online and/or telephone bookies of 1/4 the odds). Also, I've never been interested in laying bets in any case.

I had several place in-running lays in waiting but it became obvious it was playing up so cancelled them all. Some would have definitely been taken (none placed) so not happy with Betfair.

The only response I have had was to tell me that there had been an issue with depositing. Despite numerous requests about the in running problems, I have not received a reply at all.
The very fact that betfair have not made any announcement, in public, or on the forum, confirms that they believe that customer service is just not worth bothering with. If there was a viable alternative, I would leave tomorrow. I'm sure that there will be an alternative before too long, or purple get their act together.

Surprised no mention on Betfair behalf, seems there failure to acknowledge is utter disregard for clients.Will be using purple for % of my business from now on fact. Could'nt relay sunnyhillboy in running , others departed early lost 5 figures, similar to other stories.Ten years down line they should have a fully operational site , move bots/traders/one click merchants to nother site if thats problem ,but look after your average customer base. I think they should at least apologise for screwing up my grand national .I was unable to deposit money due to a technical difficulty from the site.I think it is outrageous that they allow this to happen . I am totally fed up as i was going to more money on Neptunes.Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

We have submitted your complaint to our tech dept about your in running bets not being match and unfortunately our tech dept have made the decision that there will be no refunds made from this market even though it was a problem on our behalf,it was completely out of our control. The gentleman then proceeded to tell me that he was only delivering the message he was given. When i mentioned to him as far as i was concerned a lot of the in running bets that were matched would have been taken by the betfair bots he didn't disagree we me,i finished the phone call using 2 simple words "fraud" and "disgrace".
I can honestly say folks it is the last bet i will have on this site,the rules clearly state if you can't win,you can't loose!!!!!!! unless you play on here,this is not the first time this has happened and they just keep getting away with it..

"inability to place bets" - I tried to back Planet Of Sound when it took the lead, got technical error no bet placed message - tried again and same message. Nothing showing in MY BETS, then when Katie was jumping the second last suddenly both Planet Of Sound bet were mysteriously matched FFS!!

In short, my problem was a bet being matched in duplicate, therefore costing me twice the liability. Glad to report an email from Betfair this morning confirming the error and reimbursing my account.

I have a feeble apology from Betfair and no compensation .They recognise the fact there was errors with depositing money .A disgrace of a company.Shame on you Betfair

I got an apology but said no compensation to be paid (I hadn't asked for any so I suspect it was a standard response). At least they admitted issues. I've began to use the Irish site more though Betfair remains my main betting exchange by a fair way. Though to be fair getting on other exchange for the National was traumatic just prior to race starting. But Betfair's arrogance and poor customer service culture doesn't encourage loyalty when same prices are available on both sites.
