first time i've backed him today. but either there is something badly amiss, or just isnt the same horse as he was as a juvenile.

OW is overhyped but conceded 7lbs to the 1st and 2nd and 11lbs to 3rd today. Stepped up in trip for the first time in a long while. Not enough juice in the ground.

There were plenty of reasons not to back it today.

the ground is gd-sft, sft in places, exactly the same as the description when he looked like winning the neptune....

well done to gmoh though, always ran blinders in defeat, only doubt i had today would be whether this would come too soon after weight carrying efforts in the totesport trophy and at cheltenham.

he hasnt ran over 20f since cheltenham btw so dont know which race youre referring  to, all his runs this year except today have been over 2m
