The 2nd bolted up last time and has again run well. Take that out of the equation it would have won a distance. They certainly made sure it had plenty in hand

Isn't the ground the obvious reason for the improvement? Point win was on good to yielding. In 5 runs since, has run 3 times on heavy, once on soft to heavy and once on yielding to soft. The best of these runs was on yielding to soft. The form of the point win looks strong considering 4 of the finishers behind him are now rated 115+. He was racing off 90 today.

Yes ground probably the reason. Strange they kept running it on ground it hated

No i'm not the owner MadVlad. Have just been waiting for this horse to run on better ground as the ability that he showed when winning a point suggested he was very well handicapped off 90 when he got the ground he wanted. This seems to happen fairly often with pointers, so it's just about waiting until they have the conditions they want.

that's not just pointers imho
some trainers like to set up their punts in hcps doing the same, good way of dropping a few lbs. |

this doesn't just happen in Irish racing. It happens this side of the water with amazing regularity. Stick to class 2 or better and you will be ok for form most of the time. Class 4 or lower and it is a lottery.
As for the Jockey Club, they won't do a thing. |
