The impending/planned renovation works to the facilities and infrastructure here cannot come soon enough.  I attended gold cup day today and found the facilities and infrastructure of the place to be woefully short of the standard required for a track of its prestige.  Cheltenham urgently needs to move with the times and upgrade its facilities, much like what Ascot has done recently.  Ascot is a truly world class racing venue and Cheltenham could learn an awful lot from following its lead.

I personally felt that the club enclosure entry prices were exceedingly poor value for money - specifically the queues for the bars and, especially the toilets, were a complete farce.
