Give the guy a break punters (Matt) well ALL get it wrong at times. The Chelt Fest 4days are great and well all want 2 win at the big meets, but on the bigger scale of things, its still only 4 racing days of the year. I personally think its a bad show that a few poeple like 2 slag fellow punters off at every turn when they have had a bad week, so give it a rest lads eh.

Some of us really don't care and sit back while everyone ups the stakes on the most competitive racing of the year, races featuring horses everyone knows lots about.
Yeah, massive angle.

So you "dont" want to win at any of the big racing meetings then?? And just sit back and "dont" have a bet at Chelt at all? You just keep telling youself that, then who knows, you and the rest of us might just believe you??? Personally your talking out your ASS, and should not be on here. Stick to going to the prize bingo with your gran, thats your best bet.

Still waiting Mr williams, all you need to do is post on here confirming that you have donated your ATR fee and make a public apology to the racing public for you HORRENDOUS tipping and we shall say no more about it
even some stable lad from the hendo is tipping winners left right and center and you are suppose to be a pro punter
we await...................

I witnessed this guy for the first time on the atr chelt preview show and he seemed knowledgeable enough but lacked gravitas. Some of his tips were also questionable.

And how many winners did Pricewise put up in his much heralded weekly ante-post column - as predicted a big fat zero - hard to believe anyone could have tipped anything worse.

it wasn't even as if he got unlucky at any point apart from possibly laying Finians Rainbow but even that was a bad lay given the form of the stable and lack of opposition. You were effectively betting Sizing at 4s on or whatever...
his backs were just as bad, don't think any even went close

dont blame Matt, he's an IR punter. Blame the bloke in charge of TV at ATR that paid him to go on. This is the real clown in this episode....The guy who thinks DD is an Irish expert, that Mick Fitz is a good presenter, that Fluke and Shark are great fun on a Friday night etc, etc...

Am I alone in hoping Matt is invited back for the next Festival?
Not only do I reckon Royal Ascot is a smashing idea, but a weekly slot too!
OK...so he's NO expert, but he at least isn't afraid to give his opinion, and the other turds (Chapman apart) just will not commit!
At least his sac is under the guillotine, and he's now paying the price for his paltry ATR fee as his reputation continues to nosedive with most people.
I think this vendetta stinks of Scousism, and I hope Matt had a decent I/R winner or two that he didn't even fancy
I had a rotten Festival a few years ago but somehow scrambled Bertie's Dream out of the blue at 190 I/R It does ease the pain a bit
It can happen to us all, and a knowledgeable friend of mine had about 10 fallers/unseats he strongly fancied (long-range ante-post selections) a few years ago, and when your luck's out...it really is out!
The same geezer posts as Manuel Padilla on here, and put up just two selections about two months ago for the Festival, which were Synchronised & Bellvano. Threads are on the ante-post forum if anyone's interested, and I take vicarious credit as he learned everything from me

The 'isn't afraid to give an opinion' thing is just crap and an excuse for followers of people like Chapman. Roger, great post. Whoever it is at ATR who thinks all these clowns on ATR are actually good at what they do should be locked in a padded cell.

Matt Williams when he was writing for the RP only ever criticised young or journeymen jockeys if a big jockey made a horlicks of it the horse was a monkey not the top jockey, sound familiar?, yeh thats right that orange guy in the booth is exactly the same, pick on the little guys and brown nose to death all the top trainers and jockeys on the racing tree!.
