Why horses at the start so early ?
Could clearly see all not well with Hurrican Fly at the start jockey out of stirrups horse sweating up badly ?
Best horse won the race but in general not a vintage Champion Hurdle.

very poor ride..would usain bolt jog the first 100metres in a 200metres race and expect to make 10metres in the last 100m??..why do it??

Can see where you get your view from Geoff but I really think some of these horses were beaten at the start by being sent to the start so early ?
5-6 mins before the start is just stupid. |

Run the race on a different day and there will be a completely different result but thats racing. You get one shot in championship races.
Will Rock on Ruby be a massive champion cant say that I really think so. Could have been one of the worse champion hurdles in history ruined before the race started. |

Rider is correct.He sweated up last year worse than this year and thats confirmed by the RP analysis of the race, and the horse was
the recpient of a poor, ill judged ride IMO |

It kills hearing people bleating , trying to find excuses because things didn't turn out quite the way they had envisaged. And you have to ask yourself, just how good was last year's Champion ? For those of us who compile their own speed figures , there are grounds for arguing that 2012 Hurricane Fly was better than 2011 Hurricane Fly.

Different going, different result, would be my guess.
I do think Ruby could have ridden a better race, nothing was coming back yesterday and probably very overrated anyway. |
